Refinances

What happens after you find a loan officer who is giving you a great rate or money out at closing? Perhaps you have negotiated the lender's / loan officer's fees, but did you realize that there are still other fees involved in your transaction — fees over which the loan officer or lender may not have any control? These are your title or closing fees! Many people do not realize that they can save money on their refinancing by picking their own title company for that transaction. Another way to save money is to provide the title company with any previously issued owner's policy for the property you are refinancing. With this information, you should be eligible to receive a discount on the title examination and the new lender's policy.
